1939년 신동공립심상소학교로 개교한 뒤,
1956년 신동국민학교로 준공하였다.
1999년 학교경영 우수학교로 표창을 받았다.
교훈은 ‘바르게 생각하고 슬기롭게 행동하는 어린이가 되자’이며
교목은 전나무, 교화는 장미이다.
 It is a public elementary school in Shin-dong, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do.
After opening as Shindong Public Simsang Elementary School in 1939,
It was completed in 1956 as Shindong National School.
In 1999, it was awarded a commendation as an excellent school in school management.
The lesson is “Let’s be a child who thinks right and acts wisely.”
The arboretum is fir, and the edification is rose.
