★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Adjacent to the house of Goblin (tv novela). Since I was unable to take pictures of the school facade, I opted to see the palace instead. Very nice and not crowded as the other palaces.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small and pretty palace. Not as impressive as some of the bigger palaces in Seoul and probably not worth taking a trip just to go here, but well worth seeing if you're in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place used to be a home of Gojong, 26th King of Joseon Dynasty in the late 19th century and was the house of his father, Heungseon Daewongun, who actually ran the country when the king was too young to rule.
This is a small place. Nothing much going on (except some events on weekends). But that's probably the reason you would need this place, where is so quiet and restful in the right middle of the big city. Plus, free admission.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Former residence of the royals. Free admission. Not many tourist so lots of photo opportunities. Recommend to book a guide via Korea walking tour to gain full understanding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not as large and splendid as the other palaces thus also quieter to walk around and take some lovely photos. The exhibits of the ancient ceremonies bring the place " to life" as most rooms quite sparse. The small museum has some lovely e exhibits and the royal traditional costumes. It's an easy walk from the other two main palaces nearby or Gwanghwamun Square.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Free entry, but worth tens of dollars. Since the exterior of the buildings are not overly decorated, the harmony with trees' fall colors is extremely beautiful. Visit this place in November to enjoy the fall colors.
