★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A part of Imjingak park, here you can see the old Jangdan station and a steam locomotive which was destroyed in the Korean War. The railway over the Imjin river used to connect Seoul and Sinuiju, North Korea. You can enter the southern tip of the broken bridge beyond the Civilian Access Control with a ticket. This 105m beyond the CAC line is the only exception you can enter without any special pass or ID check. There is a BEAT 131 Bunker Exhibition beside it and you can buy a joint ticket for both the bridge and the bunker. But the bunker has nothing much to see.
This is the place where you can witness the tragic history of Korea and feel Koreans' aspirations toward peace. Visit here now and once two divided countries get unified, you can come back and cross the bridge on a train heading all the way to China, Central Asia, and Europe, starting from the one unified Korea.
