Queueing for almost an hour just to enter departure hall. Not impressive.

I arrived THREE hours early and still nearly missed my flight due to inefficient check-in and security. The staff were rude and unhelpful. This was one of the worst experiences I have had at an airport, and I have lived overseas for 11 years.

Its always a nice time here in the airport. Today i found a yummy yogurt shop. Part 2 a different day. They have updated the whole travel system cutting the waiting time in half or more. coming back is the same they upgraded the process and cut the waiting times down.

One of my favorite airports when traveling to Asia.

Very crowded airport but they do have priority gate check line for families with young children. Also have this awesome play area for kids near gate 45 near Gong Cha too!

the public transport is one of the best.. but be aware of the travel time with the subway.. plan in some extra time, as this airport is far out.. Buses connections are well set and bring you almost everywhere...

This is a world-class international airport! Very large in space and with very clear signs that you will not get lost. After arrival, I took the all-stop train (railroad) to the Seoul station by T-money card. The all-stop train is just a little bit slower than the express that takes only about 1 hour to go from the airport to Seoul station. It is cheaper, and you only need to wait for 5 to 10 mins for another train. In my return trip, I had dinner in the airport. There are many very nice restaurants with reasonable price before custom. The tax refund service is also convenient. I told the airline staff that I have tax refund goods in my luggage, he gave me back that luggage after all check-in procedures. Then, I moved the luggage to the tax refund counter to scan my receipt (usually they don't check the goods). Then, check-in the luggage in the oversized baggage check-in counter next to the tax refund counter. After passing the custom, I have my money back at another tax refund counter near Gate 28.

Airport is a complex of buildings and runways for take-off, landing and maintenance of civil aircraft. It has facilities for passengers. It is interesting to see how the movement of so many planes is tracked in perfect order. The one at Kolkata is known as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport. Few days back we were taken from school to see this airport. School bus dropped us at the domestic terminal. We formed a queue and entered the airport, trying not to come in the way of passengers. The ambience was very impressive. The lounge was brightly lit and tastefully decorated. Huge screens displaying the arrival and departure of flights greeted us at different spots. It was a busy time of the day. There were a large number of people with baggage in tow, some standing in queue before ticket counters, some proceedings towards different numbered gates. There were many children also. We heard voices at short intervals announcing the arrival, departure or delay of flights and at times asking passengers to proceed towards a particular gate for security check. There were counters of various airlines with smartly dressed men and women who were answering the queries of passengers, weighing their baggage and issuing boarding passes. The gift shops in the airport were well stocked with books, toys, chocolates and knick-knacks. We came across a florist with large varieties of flowers, a saree shop selling traditional bangles, sarees, and numerous snacks counter. The assortment of snacks on display drew our attention. They had almost everything starting from pizzas, burgers, doughnuts, sandwiches to wafers, juices, tea, coffee and soft drinks. We also saw airhostesses of Jet Airways, Air Deccan and Air Sahara. One pilot even stopped over to talk to us. He answered all our questions with a smile. He explained how he flew the plane with a control stick. He also told us that the experience to soar high among the clouds was unmatched. He left by asking us to go to the viewing gallery to see the take-off and arrival of planes. We saw numerous X-ray machines scanning the baggage of passengers. Then we went to see the security checks being done. Security personnel frisked every passenger and then stamped his boarding pass.
