★ ★ ★ ★ ★ * 동화 속에 나오는 집 같다고도 하는데, 솔직히 제 시각으론 조금은 억지로 짓다 만 듯한 느낌이 드는군요. 내외부의 작은 시설들이 같이 조화롭게 정비된다면 좋겠습니다. 1953년 봉헌된 성당으로 기역 자의 형태가 독특합니다. 성 골롬반 외방 선교회 사제들이 맡아 오다 1979년에야 처음으로 한국인 사제가 부임했다고 합니다. 성모님 상을 새로 봉헌한 것 같던데 보기 드물게 화강석 물갈기 방식으로 조각된 작품이더군요. 성당 내부의 성모님 상도 처음 봅니다. 동해 바다가 바로 내려다 보이는 부지로 바로 옆에는 감리 교회랑 맞닿아 있고, 부지 아래 고층 빌딩 건립 반대 서명 운동을 하고 있었습니다만, 관련 자료가 좀 더 있으면 좋았겠네요. 감리 교회랑도 같이 연합하여 진행하는 느낌입니다. 아스콘 작업을 한지도 얼마 안되어 보이고 부지는 점점 넓혀가고 있으며 새로운 시설이 계속 들어올 것 같습니다.

* It is said that it is like a house in a fairy tale, but frankly it feels like a bit of a push for my time. I hope that the small facilities inside and outside will be coordinated together. In 1953, the dedicated church was unique in its form. In 1979, a Korean priest was appointed for the first time. It seemed to be a new consecration of the statue of my lord. We also see the Virgin Mary statue inside the cathedral. Right next to the sea facing the East Sea, the Methodist Church was right next to me, and I was doing a signing campaign against the construction of skyscrapers beneath the site, but it would have been nice if there were more related materials. It feels like joining together with Methodist Church. I have not been able to work on Ascon, and the site is getting wider and new facilities are likely to come in.
