★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here last December and christmas lights are very inviting but the weather is very cold. Beautiful decorations light up the area and a lot of people both young and old are taking videos and pictures everywhere. Overall, I enjoyed the view despite the weather ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful, serene patch of nature in Seoul. We visited once in the daytime and again at night. At both times there were people enjoying the plaza and the newly reclaimed river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've only visited this place at Christmas, and it's definately a must do at that time of year.
They hold a massive and beautiful Christmas festival light show there.
The festival also changes every year, so it's not the same rehashed displays.
It does get cold here at Christmas, it was -8 on Christmas night, when we went, but the wind chill made it around -15.
Make sure you wear your thermals, and heavy duck/goose padding etc !!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a really good place when there is any on going event. Bustling with people right in the city centre. There's a stream running which makes it a good place for an evening walk. It's also well connected by public transport. There's a large number of street food stalls also available. It's also surrounded by many restaurants.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walked here from Gwanghwamun square after visiting the palace in the afternoon on mid December 2019. From afar you can see the beautiful lit Christmas luminaries and the stream & the plaza is packed with people even though it’s very cold. A great place to visit with seasonal mood. Lots of eateries set up beside the plaza, tradition Korean street food, burgers etc...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A walking distance to Deoksugung Palace and I think, to other palaces as well. Cheonggyecheon plaza is a must-visit when you want to see Cheonggyecheon stream. Taking a quick stroll along it is relaxing and every angle of this place is picturesque. Moreover, they set up lanterns and lights throughout the stream every December.
A lot of K-Dramas were shot here, so visiting this place is a dream come true for K-Drama fans.
