j	jared lee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great walk up to Beomeosa, surrounded by hills and greens. Several temples but all equally interesting and charming. Many old relics, nice statutes and historical background being written on boards. A great panoramic view of the hills and beyond when one gets to the top of temple. The area is very clean and well kept.

There was a man right at the first gate who gave us some of the history and it really helped the overall experience. He was actually a volunteer. There are some vendors and at least one cafe along the way. It was definitely worth the trip.

It have four gates very far from each other which takes at least 4 hours hiking to find and see them. It is also one my favorite temple to photograph people, building and also nature. There is also temple stay program and facilities.

The place is quite big, so expect to spend there around 2 hours. There are other related facilities beside and behind the main building. Enjoy the view. Highly recommend!

With a history of over 1,300 years, it’s Busan’s most important temple and has a significant place within the tradition of South Korean Buddhism.
