The place where Seok-du Lee Sang-ryong lived. The railroad relocation and restoration work is in full swing these days, but I hope it gets back to its original shape as soon as possible.

It is an old-fashioned and very elegant old house. The background story touched me even more, and I felt my blood and energy burning deep in my heart. I believe that each independence activist who is not so well known made the strong Korea it is today. This place I heard about whether to go or not is the inspiration for my trip. :)

This place is very important to Koreans. When Japan took over Korea, Japan was destroyed it, but we are going to rebuild soon.

The people there were really friendly. They didn't speak much English but they were very welcoming and walked us around. They pulled up water from the well and explained how the area was segregated. They had a video for us to watch about President Moon visiting and I guess making it an official historical site. It was in Korean but thats what it seemed like. Pretty cool. And not too far off there's another little site with a pagoda just outside, but the gate was closed so we didn't go in. If you walk there though, there's a tunnel to your right that goes to the main road. You can walk up that a bit to cross a bridge and get on the forest covered walking path. There's these beautiful floral mosaics on your left as you walk up that road with the river on your right. It was really hot when we went so we were very thankful when they told us about it. Otherwise we would have missed the turn and stayed out in the heat.
