Tmark Grand Hotel, Myeongdong

had a great time here, given a room on a high floor. great housekeeping, brilliant reeption, 7eleven downstairs which meant we could get snacks whenever and was able to order friend chicken here at midnight too! good location also, about 8 minute walk to the centre of Myeongdong. The airport bus also stops right outside. Would definitely recommend!!

The hotel room is comfortable and the service is friendly. Only issue is that the room remains at 26 degrees even though we had selected 18 degrees. Each night (we stayed 5) it was too hot. The location is very convenient for the market and walking to Myeongdong. Edit: reception did get the air-conditioning fixed before we left. This only brought the temperature down to 23 degees despite having selected 18 degrees.

Great location! Went to the market right across the street for shopping. Room is small, but that is expected. Bed was comfortable and showers were hot. Not sure why the thermostat won’t change temperatures. Stays at 24C the whole time. Staff is very friendly!

Recommended for convenient location and clean rooms! As two female travellers we took our chances after reading other reviews and were not disappointed with Tmark Grand. Location: Excellent with key transport links right at the door step. The hotel is large and impersonal but is bright, clean and we felt safe. Staff: Reception is staffed 24 hours, fluent in English which was helpful for us. The concierge are courteous but not very knowledgeable about anything other than directions for shopping or transport, we could have done with some detailed help / information on international banks, ATMs, money exchange, SIM card issues we were experiencing, and oh yes! with restaurant suggestions and bookings etc. Accommodation: twin room on 17th floor with views of N-Tower. Room size was disappointingly small but they were clean with good lighting. Beds also on small side but comfortable with good quality linen. Universal electric socket was appreciated as were the good blackout curtains. Not enough storage for two to unpack and no control over room temperature with no option to open windows to allow room to cool down. Bathrooms were also small but well appointed and clean with all basic amenities provided including robes and slippers. Breakfast: large impersonal buffet with variety of foods, cuisine of good quality. In short, it was pretty good for as four star city hotels go! Positives outweighed the negatives so we will recommend to our network and use this hotel again.

Great hotel very close to principal avenues in Seoul. Very close to Myeongdong market, Namdaemun and Seoul tower. Our room was very clean and very comfortable too. People speak English and they were very friendly too. The breakfast buffet was delicious and dinner time too. I'll be back again.

Stayed in the family suite on the 11th floor. This a good hotel, I’m sure there are better ones. Booked this hotel room for the size. Subway is right out side along with buses and a bus that takes you to the airport. Seoul tower is about a 15 min walk to the cable car. Other reviews about the A/C are correct. The temp in the room will only get down to 23-24 degrees centigrade which is around 73-74 degrees Fahrenheit. At the lobby floor is a cafe, 7-11 (24hrs) and a Burger King. On second floor is a buffet and you get a discount for staying at the hotel. Overall not a bad place despite the A/C. I am from Texas and I was able to sleep good at night. “TIP” leave a room card in the power slot to keep the A/C running non stop so when you come back from long day, the room is comfortable.

One the best located hotel! Right across the street from namdaemun market, so if you are hungry you can stop by there to grab and wick delicious meal. Locate right next to the subway line 4, so you can access sit very quickly. Room was very clean, service was very nice. The only thing i would say is a sort of downside would be in the winter, the room are like 26 degree C. Can't really turn it down, so the only thing you can do is open the window to lower the temperature. But that me, the rest of my family liked the warm temperature. Highly recommend this hotel

Pros: - the room is clean, big enough and conveniently located. Right in front is a bus stop and all the shopping is near by. - heated toilet :) - 7eleven connected to hotel - good water pressure in the shower Cons: - you cannot change the temp on your room even though there is a controller in the room!! Beware if you visit in warmer months. - the bathroom amenities seemed like they had been filled with water. All the soaps and shampoo were watered down. This is not a 4 star hotel. - the beds are hard as rocks - there are no outlets by the beds! I've never stayed at a hotel without outlets by the beds... - the sink and the tub did not drain well
