★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love going on random road trips. This day was amazing.
It was raining and we found ourselves at this temple. The caretakers invited my husband and I inside and then proceeded to feed us, talk to us, serve us tea, and told us that we were the first Americans they had met. We donated money and wrote our names on a tile, which the caretaker then wrote a blessing for us on.
It's not huge, and it's not flashy, but it's perfect. Serene, off the beaten path, quiet, and beautiful.
