★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 여수엔 계곡이 많이 없어서 애들 데리고 가기 좋아요 근데 주변에 먹을데가 없어서 음식을 준비해 가야하는 번거로움이 있어요

흥국사 계곡은 사시사철 물이 흐르고 그 중심에
보물 제 563호 흥국사 홍교가 있습니다.
홍교 위치는 전라남도 여수시 흥국사길 160(중흥동)
1972.03.02 보물로 지정 되었습니다.
백과사전에 아래와 같이 소개 되고 있습니다.
조선 시대 인조 17년 (1639)
계특 대사 (戒特大師)가 쌓은 궁륭형 다리로
(활시위를 당기는 모양으로 둥글고, 무지개가 걸쳐 있는 모습)
1981년 폭우로 일부 붕괴되었으나 이듬해 복구하였다. 계곡 양쪽을 뿌리 삼아 잘 다듬은 86개의 지대석을 각이 지게 짜 올림으로써 반원을 이루며, 돌들이 서로 맞물려 스스로 무게를 지탱할 수 있도록 절묘한 구성을 하였다.
다리 주위로는 자연석 작은 돌들을 그냥 쌓아올린 듯하면서도 단을 맞추려 하여 무지개 모양 짜임새를 좀 더 튼튼하게 보완해 주고 있어 다리의 면모를 한결 돋보이게 하고 있다.
홍예의 중심 머릿돌은 용머리를 새겨 돌출시켜 다리의 격을 높이고 있으며, 홍예 중심 머릿돌에서 양 홍예 난간 부분에 귀면상을 조각함으로써 잡귀를 막아 다리를 건너는 사람들의 안녕을 기원했다.
이러한 한 칸의 무지개 모양 다리는 짜맞추는 수법이 정교할 뿐더러 자연석과 잘 다듬은 돌의 조화는 한국 곡선미의 아름다움을 보여주고 있다.

This is a great bridge built by Ambassador Gye-Tae.

It collapsed in 1981 due to heavy rain, but recovered the following year. Each of the 86 valleys, which are well-polished from both sides of the valley, are angled together to form a semicircle, and the exquisite composition is made so that the stones can support each other by interlocking with each other.
Around the bridge, natural stones seem to have just been piled up, but by trying to fit the steps, the rainbow-like texture is complemented more robustly, making the legs look more outstanding.
The central headstone of Hongye is engraved with a dragon head to increase the height of the bridge, and by carving a face on the railing part of both Hongye at the central head of Hongye, it prevented the nasty and prayed for the well-being of people crossing the bridge.
The rainbow-shaped bridge of this square is not only sophisticated in framing, but the harmony of natural stone and polished stone shows the beauty of Korean curvaceousness.

흥국사 입구에 있어 차로 갈 수 있어 좋고
계곡과 나무 숲, 캠핑장이 있어 가족들과 가벼운 나들이 텐트나 그늘막 치고 놀아도 될 듯 합니다.
신발 벗고 계곡물에 발 담그고 재밌게 놀다 왔어요.

It’s at the entrance of Heungguksa Temple, so it’s nice to be able to access it by car.
There are valleys, forests of trees, and campsites, so you can enjoy a light outing with your family in a tent or in the shade.
I took off my shoes, soaked my feet in the valley water, and had fun.
