 It was a place that gave you the happiness of eating thanks to the clean kimchi and side dishes, clean and delicious Korean food, and friendly staff. Maesengigulguk feels like drinking a bowl of herbal medicine.

광화문 한정식 맛집 소문.
전국 각지의 식재료로 음식을 만들며 인공조미료 없는 깔끔한 음식을 제공한다. 안동에서 온 한우, 경북 경산의 발효초, 담양의 죽순, 통영의 멍게, 고흥 유자, 광주의 춘설차 등 전국 각지의 최고라 불리우는 좋은 식재료만 사용하는 집. 처음에는 그냥 몇 가지만 그런줄 알았으나 먹어보면 하나하나가 최고급 재료라는 것을 느끼고 알 수 있다. 그리고 느낄 수 있다.
마치 수라상을 받는 그런 느낌으로 식사를 했다.
정부에서 인증한 사회적기업으로 이익금의 2/3이상을 사회로 환원하는 착한 기업.

Gwanghwamun Korean food gourmet rumor.
They make food with ingredients from all over the country and provide clean food without artificial seasonings. A house that uses only good ingredients from all over the country, including Korean beef from Andong, fermented grass from Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do, bamboo shoots from Damyang, mulberry from Tongyeong, Goheung yuja, and spring spring tea from Gwangju. At first I thought it was just a few things, but if you try it, you can feel and know that each one is the best ingredients. And you can feel it.
I ate like I was receiving the Sura Award.
A government-certified social enterprise, a good company that returns more than two-thirds of its profits to society.
It is also an atopian restaurant certified as one of the few atopian restaurants in Seoul.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 사장님께서 식재료 및 음식 자체에 굉장한 자부심을 지니고 계신다. 한국에서 내노라하는 지역 곳곳의 특산 식재료를 쓰며, 조리 방식 또한 식재료 특성을 잘 끌어내는 쪽으로 조리하는 등 한식당의 정수를 보여주는 편이다.
다만 아쉬운 점은 특정 음식에 방아나 초피 같이 다소 향이 강한 재료를 아낌 없이 쓴다는 점인데, 해당 향에 익숙한 사람이라면 '오히려 좋아...'겠지만, 그렇지 않은 사람에게는 불호로 다가올 만한 음식이 종종 있었다. 또한 코스 메뉴의 배치도, 메인 음식이 나오기 전에 향이 강한 음식이 있었던 점은 해당 향이 익숙한 본인으로서도 음식을 모두 먹고 나서 감점 요인으로 생각이 들 정도였다.
The owner takes great pride in the ingredients and the food itself. It shows the essence of a Korean restaurant, using local ingredients that are popular in Korea, and cooking methods that bring out the characteristics of ingredients well.
The only disappointment is the generous use of ingredients with rather strong scents, such as millet and herbaceous plants, for certain foods. Those who are familiar with the scent might say, 'I prefer it...', but there were often foods that could come as a dislike for those who weren't. Also, the layout of the course menu and the fact that there were foods with strong scents before the main food was enough to deduct points after eating all the food, even as a person who was familiar with the flavor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic and genuine Korean restaurant. Most dishes were well prepared expressing the tastes and fragrances of ingredients themselves at the best. Don't forget to make some room of time before visiting here. Dishes were served one by one with time interval. You may enjoy watching and analysing and tasting of each dish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was great - freshly prepared Korean dishes using seasonal ingredients and no MSG. The foods were very tasty, although it was a bit sweeter than I know from other Korean restaurants. The portion wasn't that big as this restaurant practices "no food waste" policy. The pricing is fair, and I think it's pretty popular among office workers from the Gwanghwamun area. We were there shortly after 12 on a work day and it was packed. Hard to find a parking, too.
