Shilla Stay Haeundae

Great place. Close to everything. The staff is very helpful during checking in. The rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent. There is a variety of foods. The location is near the beach and many great eating options.

This was my first time staying at Shilla Stay Haeundae. Stayed 1 night. Location is great just in front of the beach. Hotel was modern and comfortable. There is a 24h convenience store on the 1st floor along with a small bakery. There is also a rooftop pool which can only be accessed by persons who additionally pay for usage. There is a gym which closes at 10 or 11 pm and re-opens in the morning. I did not have breakfast but I heard it was rather good for KRW 15,000. I instead chose to have breakfast just located across the street at McD. Room was clean and spacious with all the basic amenities. Bed was quite comfortable for a good night rest. If staying in Busan in the Haeundae area for the first time, it is good to stay nearby the beach. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and very nice to go for a stroll by the scenic beach. The only bad thing about staying here was the check-in experience. Normal check-in time is 3pm and we arrived at the hotel at 4:30 pm. There was a very long line for people trying to check-in, longest I've ever seen at any hotel. Ultimately it took 45 minutes. It seems that the hotel is fully booked due to its reasonable price for beachfront accomodations comparable to other nearby hotels. And so, you have a swarm of people trying to maximize there time at the hotel trying to check in as earliest as possible. I have never experienced such a long wait in a line to check into a hotel. I asked the sales person working in the back office who booked the rooms for me if she could help expedite our check-in but she could do nothing. Overall though, the stay was nice. The bed was very comfortble. I may not consider staying here again if I have to go thru the check-in fiasco again.

Homely upscale hotel, inviting fireplace in the lobby, good spread of breakfast buffet with high ceiling for a spacious feel. I booked the deluxe room with a sea view. Worth the money for a clear view of Haeundae beach. Room contraptions are creative and a hidden sliding door allows you to view the bedroom through the toilet! Staff were able to communicate in English and gave helpful directions to the places we wanted to travel to. Great service and hospitality.

Pros: great location to the beach. Good food places and activities in walking distance. Customers service was above average. Cons: rooms are small for a family of 4 or more. Breakfast is not included 24,000₩ ($23) per person. Rooftop swimming pool not included in nightly rate an additional 30,000₩ ($29) per person per use. Parking is an issue had to wait to park for 20 minutes. If you need extra bed it cost 55,000 ₩ ($54). Also, during the night the A/C turns off and room is hot. Upon request, they did provide a fan to help cool off room. If you don't mind the inconvenience, this may be the place for your next vacation. However, I wouldn't book at this hotel again.

The rooms were really nice and the breakfast buffet was great. Lots of choices from Korean, Chinese and continental options. There is a laundry room on B1 that costs 4500W washing took 38 minutes and drying was 45 minutes on standard settings. Everything is multilingual in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The ground floor has some bars, cafes and a 24 hour convenience store. The beach is across the road as well making it an ideal location. The toilets also have the standard washlet systems for good hygiene as well.

Pool bar closes at 8:00pm and extra 30,000 to go. Room was depressing and slightly shabby. I noticed stains on the hallway carpets; however, it’s all about location and our room looked out onto the beach which is gorgeous. Near many restaurants which was good as we weren’t allowed in the cafe because of a group. The room itself cost 330,000 and offered only 2 bottles of water in the mini fridge from reviews, I guess this is as good as it gets for the area. Kinda disappointing. Certainly not a 4 star hotel.

This is a nice hotel. The rooms are comfortable and larger than some I have stayed at. The breakfast buffet is amazing with food for just about every taste. The reception staff is excellent and very efficient. The only negative item is the street noise. The cars and motorcycle noise is, at times, annoying; however, the hotel cannot do anything about this (this is just my observation). I would definitely stay here again.

Room temperature was 27C and they just offer some fan. I could not sleep due to hot, smell, fan noise and humid. There is no COVID distance at the breakfast area and not organized.
