★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 해발 300m 정도의 능선을 따라 돌로 쌓은 산복식(山腹式) 산성으로, 평면은 5각형에 가까운 편이다. 현재 성 안에서는 특별한 시설물이 확인되지 않는다. 이 산성의 내력은『하동군읍지(河東郡邑誌)』에 유일하게 전한다. 읍지의 내용, 산성의 위치와 규모로 보아, 신라나 백제가 군사적 목적에서 쌓은 것으로 추정된다.
성벽은 둘레가 1.5㎞인데, 바닥 너비 6m, 윗 너비 2m, 높이 4∼5m 크기의 단면 사다리꼴로 가공한 돌이나 자연석을 견고하게 쌓아 올렸다. 동쪽·북쪽·서쪽의 성벽은 거의 완전하게 남아 있지만, 섬진강을 굽어보는 서남쪽 성벽은 대부분 허물어져 돌더미만 남은 상태이다. 서남쪽 성벽은 지리산에서 서남향으로 뻗어내린 산줄기가 섬진강에 의해 끊어진 곳으로, 강 건너편과 함께 험준한 비탈을 이루고 있다.
이 산성이 위치한 곳은 뒤쪽으로는 험준한 산을 등지고 앞쪽으로는 큰 강이 자리한 천혜의 요해지(要害地)로, 특히 남해에서 호남 지방으로 들어가는 중요한 길목이다. 지형을 이용하여 웅장한 규모와 견고한 축성법을 갖추어 축조된 대표적인 산성 가운데 하나로 알려져 있다.

The walls of the east, north, and west remain almost completely, but most of the southwest walls overlooking the Seomjin River are torn down. The southwestern wall is a mountainous ridge that extends from Jirisan to southwest, cut off by the Seomjin River.
This mountain is located at the back of a rugged mountain with the back of a rugged mountain and a large river in front of it. It is known as one of the representative acids built with the magnificent scale and solid layering method using the terrain.

애들보단 집사람이 너무 힘들어하네요~~
운동화 필수입니다~~힘들게 올랐는데 변덕스런 날씨덕에 고지만 찍고내려 왔어요! 좀더 놀수있었는데 아쉽네요
날씨만 좋았더라면 인생샷 건질 수 있었을징도ㅎㅎ
아직 유명 관광지가 아니라 초입이 너무 가파라요~~

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 경남 하동군 악양면에 있는 신라시대 때 축조된 오각형의 돌성이다. 1966년 대한민국 사적 151호로 하동고소성이라 명명되었으나 이후 고소성이라 불리게 되었다. 고구려가 신라에 와 왜구토벌을 도와주면서 쌓았다는 설도 있다. 자연석과 사각형으로 깎은 돌을 이용해 쌓았다. 섬진강이 한눈에 보이고 가파르게 쌓은 노력이 엿보였다.

In 1966, it was named Hadong Gososeong as Korea Historic Site No. 151, but later it was called Gososeong. There is also a theory that Goguryeo came to Silla to help subdue the Japanese and built it.
