화왕산 정상에 만든 억새와 어울어져 볼만하다.

사적 제64호.1963년 지정. 면적 18만 5724m2. 조선 전기의 기록을 보면 둘레가 1,217보(步:1보는 6尺)이며, 성 내에는 샘이 9, 못이 3, 또 군창(軍倉)이 있었다고 한다.
창녕뿐 아니라 영산(靈山) ·현풍(玄風)까지를 포용하는 성으로서 군사적으로 주요 요충지였으며, 임진왜란이 일어나기 전까지는 실용적 가치를 느끼지 못하다가 임진왜란이 발발하여 왜적이 순식간에 대로를 따라 북상하게 되자 이 성의 군사적 가치를 인식하게 되었다고 한다. 곽재우(郭再祐)의 의병 근거지였으며, 그는 이 성을 굳게 지킴으로써 왜군의 경상우도 침입을 막을 수 있었다. 임진왜란이 소강상태에 들어갔던 1596년(선조 29)이나 전쟁이 끝날 무렵인 1598년에 비변사(備邊司)는 이 성의 군사적 가치를 재인식하여 산성수축의 긴급함을 건의했다는 기록도 보인다

Kwak Jae-woo's medical base, and he firmly defended the castle to prevent the invasion of Gyeongsang-woo by the Korean Army. In 1596, when the Imjin War was in a lull, or in 1598, at the end of the war, the Warrior Warrior re-recognized the military value of the castle and suggested the urgent need for acid shrinkage.

현대화된 축척성곽이라는 느낌!!!

허준세트장까지 무난히 트레킹 하듯 걸으면 되고 동문을 넘어 선 순간 탁 트인 전경은... 말을 잃게 한다.
화왕산성 둘레를 걸어도 숨가쁘지 않고 한바퀴 돌 수 있다.
The parking space is large and well maintained.
You can walk as if trekking to Heo Jun's set, and the moment you cross the east gate, the panoramic view... makes you lose your words.
You can walk around Hwawangsanseong Fortress without taking a breath.
