If you want to have a traditional food in a affordable price? Try jere. It has a very funny museum as well for free entrance. It's worth it tto drive a bit further.

the original Korean style restaurant. they serve fusion types dishes and various graded menu. usually parents love here so you can see many family groups and guests. after eating, you can take coffee or beverage from their own cafe. they made a small musieum with memorial stuff, old note, old public telephone, old element school desks n chairs, and so on. but the location is too far to get there, which means it's impossible to be there without car....

The food was not the top notch but their interior design and atmosphere were pretty decent. The food was just okay. I won't return to this place.

A hidden gem in Paju. Way down the road from a tourist trap neighborhood of restaurants, brave the country drive down here for a traditional Korean course meal(한정식), you won't regret it. The ingredients are always very fresh and the flower accents on plates give it an extra bit of lovely. I don't even like bossam, but I gobble it up here, the cooking is so good! Though there is meat on the menu (only one course) it's still very vegetarian friendly with the variety of dishes to pick from, and still feel full and happy. There's also a small cafe to enjoy some barley tea, and a handmade pottery shop next door, I think maybe owned all by the same people. On some days when you are outside you can hear the propaganda speakers going off (from either side of the fence, so to speak) so it's also interesting from a tourist perspective!
