★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 동국대학교 서울캠퍼스 내에 있는 문화재.
현재는 절로 사용하고 있으나 원래는 광해군이 세운 경덕궁(영조 때 경희궁으로 개칭)의 정전(숭정전)이었다.
일제시대 일본인이 다닐 경성중학교를 설립하면서 경희궁이 심하게 회손되었고, 숭정전은 여러 곳으로 옮겨진 후 현재는 이곳으로 옮겨졌다.
개인적으로 대웅전답지 않게 너무 웅장한 자태를 갖고 있어 확인해 보니 위와 같은 역사를 갖고 있어 상당히 흥미로운 역사 유산이다.

Although it is currently used as a temple, it was originally the main hall (Sungjeongjeon) of Gyeongdeokgung (renamed Gyeonghuigung during the reign of King Yeongjo) built by Gwanghaegun.
During the Japanese colonial period, when the Japanese established Gyeongseong Middle School, Gyeonghuigung was severely damaged, and Sungjeongjeon was moved to the present location.
Personally, it is not like Daeungjeon, but it is too grandiose, so when I checked it, it has the same history as above, so it is a very interesting historical heritage.
