J	Jared CHOI on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 유네스코 세계유산에 2019년에 등재된 돈암서원은 원래는 사계 김장생 선생을 기리기 위한 사당으로 지어졌었는데 1660년에는 학생들을 가르치는 사액서원 (사립 학교)이 되어 후학을 양성했다고 합니다. 국립학교인 향교와 사립학교인 서원을 구분하는 방법은 향교에는 학생들이 공부하던 강딩이 명륜당인 반면 서원에서는 각자의 이름을 가진 현판을 내걸었다고 합니다. 돈암서원의 가장 큰 강당은 응도당이라 하는데 우리나라에서 가장 큰 강당 건물이라고 합니다. 이 외에도 양성당, 정회당에서 수업이 이루어졌다고 합니다. 사계 선생의 부친이신 황강 김계휘 선생과 아들, 손자 3대가 후학을 양성 하셨다고 합니다. 3대가 학생을 가르친 서원도 돈암서원이 유일하다고 하네요. 운 좋게 제가 방문 했을때 단체로 방문하는 기관이 있어서 문화 해설사 선생님의 설명을 들을 기회가 있었어요. 가끔 국악 공연도 한다고 합니다. 정말 뜻 깊은 여행을 한것 같아 기분이 좋네요. 다음에 논산에 오게되면 꼭 다시 방문하려구요. It is a Unesco World heritage registered in 2019. Donam Seowin is for the monument for scholar Kim Jangsaeng. and it was developed for the private school and got support from the king. The main study building is very big and it is remarkable in history. And grand father, son and his grand son taught students which is also remarkable. Because there are no other schools teachers are in 3 generations. I was very lucky to listen detail explain of the school and chance to see rehearsal for old Korean music. I will visit here again. It was really good and precious experience. Donam Seowon, which was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019, was originally built as a shrine to commemorate Sagye Kim Jang-saeng, but in 1660, it became a Saak Seowon (private school) to educate students. The way to distinguish between the national school hyanggyo and the private school seowon is that in the hyanggyo, the students studied, Gangding was the Myeongryundang, while in the seowon, a signboard with their own name was hung. The largest auditorium of Donam Seowon is called Eungdodang, and it is said to be the largest auditorium building in Korea. In addition to this, classes were held at the Yangyangdang and Jeonghoedang. It is said that Mr. Sagye's father, Hwanggang Kim Gye-hwi, and three generations of sons and grandchildren have been nurtured. It is said that Donam Seowon is the only seowon where three generations have taught students. Luckily, when I visited, there was an organization that visited as a group, so I had the opportunity to hear the explanation from the cultural commentator. Occasionally, they also perform traditional music performances. It feels good to have had a really meaningful trip. Next time I come to Nonsan, I will definitely visit again. The buildings represent one of the best examples of this school of learning that was so important to the post 1692 invasion of Korea by Japan period. It is also located in a famous area where a critical battle was faught at the end of the Three Kingdom's Period. So when you visit do not forget the setting.
