★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice beef and leaf restaurant where you cook at the table. The place is very clean, the staff was very friendly and professional and spoke English. Price was very reasonable for what you get. I would say moderately priced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yet another Korean BBQ joint so close to a military base. Spoiler Alert! Price is a little above average. Don't expect a smile from your staff or waiter underneath the now required face mask (covid-19); it's like they don't want your money, hover they need it to stay in business.
The food is decent; the atmosphere is comparable to other Korean BBQ joints; it's busy most nights, quiet during the day. Occasionally you will see a local passed out on the outside wooden deck; some will do that to you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ HwaHwa’s is a a great beef and leaf. Well beef and pork. The meats are of great quality and plenty of sides. They use charcoal and not gas so it’s genuine Korean BBQ, not just korean frying, and referring to another review that compares it to Sujis, it’s simply not a fair comparison as Sujis is Korean frying. Expect to pay a little bit more then normal, and no, it’s not all you can eat, but what you get is significantly better then then normal all you can eat buffet line. HwaHwa’s is about quality, not quantity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is good. Nothing spectacular. Their banchan is good, mainly the japchae is our favorite. There are many other kbbq places in Pyeongtaek that’s much better, but this is great for the location and the wait staff speaks English.
