★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had no complaints with how the food tasted here. My wife and I had hosted out guests here after our wedding ceremony and everyone was pleased with the food here. Please note that this is a very popular spot after wedding meals and can get very busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ate a very neat set meal. It's very clean and doesn't have a strong liver. I had a bulgogi meal for lunch and I'm very satisfied. There is no place like this to serve important guests. I like the last crystal and dessert, so I drink two glasses. Recommend!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I Order the ox bone with cabbage and Grilled sirloin . The beef was really good . cooked to medium and it taste like wagyu (melts in your mouth) . For the soup , it was a little disappointment as i couldn't taste the ox bone

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is opened in 1939. Their signature menus are grilled beefs called 'Traditional Galbi(전통갈비)'. It tastes sweet and nice(the sauce could taste similar to bulgogi). They also have several different grill, rice, noodle menus too. The price is quite high but you will fill worth to pay for it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hanilkwan is a Korean (한정식) restaurant franchise, Apgujeong location being the original store.
Even though Hanilkwan calls for premium prices, the level of professionalism is far lacking to deserve such value. If I'm paying ~₩60,000 per customer I expect not to be rushed.
Let me run you down on some things that happened during my visit:
1. I ordered a course meal, three dishes came out back to back with two minutes in between.
2. The fourth dish they asked if they could start cooking the steak. I said no. They asked six times, "not yet" I replied each time. They eventually just start cooking anyways without even asking. Why ask me in the first place if they're going to ignore my opinion anyways?
3. They took away plates like their life depended on it. I wasn't even done with couple and of course they wouldn't ask and just snatch it from under my spoon if it seemed finished.
No I was not there close to closing hours, no I did not stay for even longer than 40 minutes.
If you want to blow +$100 to get treated like a military grunt getting rushed to eat, be my guest.
Was highly recommended by a friend, left only with confusion and disappointment.
Would NEVER go again.
Don't force your customers to eat a $100 course meal within 15 minutes and have the attitude that you want them to pay and leave ASAP.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Family friendly restaurant with a long history! It's on the Michelin guide too. Very easy for foreigners to order as there are around 4 or 5 pages of set menus you can order from. Food tastes good and you'll definitely be stuffed if you finish every course. Another pot of soup, rice or noodles come with every meal.
