★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a massive and engaging market! This market is not for tourists mainly. Here you can find fresh produce at very affordable prices. The key here is freshness and affordability. I found a nice shop that makes their own high grade sesame oil through a recommendation of a local.
It is perhaps one of the better ones that I have tasted.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A worthwhile visit if you are looking for fresh ginseng. This local market is located 3 subway stops from Dongdaemun and relatively easy to locate. You wil pass the medicine market before crossing to the Gyeongdong Market. This huge market is sectioned into dried goods e.g dates, nuts, dried seafood e.g shrimps fish seaweed; fresh fruits and fresh ginseng. I went specifically for fresh ginseng and found them at very reasonable pricing. I bought those at 10k won for 300g and they are really good quality. The sellers I met are both friendly and helpful. This is a local market so be mindful little English is used. Cash transactions only. Happy shopping!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a famous Korean Ginseng trading place. If you buy a lot, you can deal the price to the seller.
- You aren't afraid to buy fake goods there.
- You need to have cash. Most stores don't accept Visa card :(
- Near the Jegi Oriental Medicine Market, so you can combine to see both places easily.
