★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 용흥궁공원 주변에는 있는 용흥궁은 강화도령으로 불렸던 철종(1849 ~ 1863)이 왕위에 오르기 전 14~19살까지 살았던 곳으로 유형문화재 제20호로 지정되어 있다. 원래는 초가집이었으나, 왕이 되어 떠난 후 강화유수 정기세가 현재와 같은 기와집을 세우고 용흥궁이라고 하였다. 궁 안에는 철종이 머물던 옛 집임을 기록한 비석과 비각이 있다. 지금 남아 있는 건물은 내전 1동, 외전 1동, 별전 1동 등이다.
용흥궁공원 산위에 위치한 성공회는 16세기 영국에서 종교개혁의 결과 성립된 교회로, 강화에 전파된 것은 1893년 영국인 왕남도 신부에 의해서다. 갑곶나루에서 전도를 시작한 후 강화읍에서 영화원이라는 보육원을 개설하고 강화에 의료기관이 생기기 전까지 서양 의술로 많은 환자를 돌보았다.

Yongheunggung Palace, located near Yongheunggung Park, is where Cheoljong (1849-1863), who was called Ganghwado-ryeong, lived until the age of 14-19 before ascending to the throne, and it is designated as Tangible Cultural Property No. 20. It was originally a thatched-roof house, but after he became king and left, Ganghwa Yoosu Jeonggi-se built a tile-roofed house as it is today and called it Yongheunggung. Inside the palace, there is a monument and a monument that records that it was the old house where King Cheoljong stayed. The buildings that remain today are 1 Naejeon, 1 Gaejeon, and 1 Byeoljeon.
Anglican Church, located on the top of Yongheunggung Park, is a church established as a result of the Reformation in England in the 16th century. After starting evangelism at Gapgotnaru, he opened an orphanage called Yeonghwawon in Ganghwa-eup and took care of many patients with Western medicine until a medical institution was established in Ganghwa.
Yongheunggung Park has been newly refurbished and looks nice and clean. We ask for constant maintenance in the future.
