언양읍성 - Ulju-gun

In addition, there are 834 concubines (堞: low-walled walls), and there are four wells in the castle, but the existing Seokseong is built on the base of the castle. Usually, the walls of the castle are constructed by stacking smooth stones or mountain stones in the shape of a Wuxi stone, but in this castle, a large rock is rolled, roughly trimmed on the surface, and a large stone is also floated on top of it, and a large stone is placed on top of it. Between them, a method of sandwiching countless fine stones was used. Therefore, it is very sturdy and can withstand some shocks, so there is still a considerable portion left. The basis of the castle is the middle part of the protruding part, which is considered to be a part of a gate or a fortress, presumably under the design of a person with considerable experience in defense and military knowledge. The fortress paired with this town is the forged castle of Mt. Chiseo, and was constructed to be advantageous in defense in case of emergency. The construction method and arrangement of the castle can be seen in Geoje, which was also in the early Joseon Dynasty, and was used as a base for the purpose of defending Japanese dwarfs since the Silla period. Eonyang-eupseong is also considered to have inherited the construction method since Silla because it shows similarities to the stone-building techniques of Sinseong in Namsan, Gyeongju, and Busanseong built in the period of King Munmu. In particular, the strategic importance of this town can be guessed because this area is the hub of transportation with Gyeongju, Ulsan, Miryang, and Yangsan. Eonyang-eupseong was designated as a historic site No. 153 on December 27, 1966, and on June 23, 2011, 26,997㎡ of 132 parcels around Nammun were also designated as private sites. For now, it is a quiet and moderately good place for a couple, lovers or family to take a walk. It has not been completed yet, and further development is expected after the excavation work is completed by August of this year. It is a place where you can feel the friendly atmosphere of rice paddies beautifully. You can ask any questions you have at the Eonyang-eupseong Information Center. The toilets in the information center building were kept clean and there is a parking lot. If this place becomes more beautiful, I would like to visit again.

It's a historic place, but the management is a bit poor. We recommend that you eat bulgogi and go for a walk.

It was nice to be able to see the panoramic country scenery. It doesn't feel like it's being managed very well, but I think it's the countryside scenery like this that makes that rough feeling come again as an attraction. It was very beautiful at sunset. It would be better if there were well-marked direction signs for people walking and blocking bikes from entering the promenade.
