★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite bbq restaurant in all of Seoul. "Mapo style" with the egg around the edge is the best. Simple meal with outstanding flavor and always washed down by beer and soju. The owners are very nice and are always accommodating. They have even hosted a large business party for us at short notice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Calmegi is a thicker piece of pork. Here you are served calmegi and eggs along with the fixins. You can add onions and garlic to the egg as it cooks around the perimeter of the bbq surface. The place is bustling and loud, but the service is quick and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I had our late-night dinner at this place because it’s very close to where we stayed and it’s open till the midnight. For the food part, we had two servings of pork belly (삼겹살/오겹살) and one serving of flap meat (갈매기살). The average price is reasonable and the meat quality is OK. However, we don’t recommend this place because the service quality is TERRIBLE. My husband and I are from Taiwan, and as soon as the Chinese lady who was responsible for our table found out we speak Mandarin as she does, she became very rude and neglected our table on purpose. She didn’t do her job well— she didn’t supplement us with the side dishes or add water for us as she was supposed to. Not a single service at all. We noticed that the same thing happened to the two guys from China next to our table. If you speak Mandarin and want to try Korean BBQ, we strongly suggest you avoid this place. There are many other better options than this!
