This park features a collection of ancient royal tombs dating back to the Silla period. It's like visiting the pyramids in Egypt, only that you're visiting the greener Korean version. While I appreciate the history behind these tombs, I didn't really enjoy the trip here, because ultimately my eyes only interpret the tombs as grass mounds. They make for good pictures, but would have been better if we have an idea of who was buried within each tomb or if there is better explanation. The hot weather did not help either as the place is open to the elements. Depending on your season of visit, suggest you check the weather before coming. The place also requires quite a bit of walking. A little underwhelming, to be honest.

This place is like a korean version of pyramids, but i don’t know why it reminds me of teletubbies hills. The place is an open area, better check the weather before going there. The place was so clean, and during my visit it was not too sunny so i really enjoyed the walk. This place is kinda huge, so if you want to explore every corner of the place, better prepare your comfy shoes. There’s one most photogenic spot, and there’s so many people queuing for a cute photograph. I waited for about 45mins but it’s not disappointing

This place is huge and worth staying because of its exotic and traditional view. There was a photo zone that was perfectly insta worthy haha. Beautiful indeed. There also was an exhibition hall inside one grave that displays historical records of silla and it was interesting.

The park is picturesque while at the same time historical. It is especially pleasing during the fall season as the trees change color. One of the burial mounds has been excavated and is now a museum where you can see what all the surrounding tombs contain. It is fascinating.

The grounds and park around the tombs were very beautiful and calming, with occasional displays or small museums explaining the burial customs of the ancients. Do NOT try to climb on top the burial mounds, as it will result in 2 years in jail and/or $20,000 fine.

I love to take a walk here in Daereungwon, in the morning.(Opens at 9am btw!) It's peaceful, calm and picturesque. You can see the huge royal mausoleums, take a walk surrounded by wonderful pines while listening to the birds singing. It could be a bit too hot in summer, it's better to visit in spring or autumn. +entry fee is 3000 won for an adult!

Without a doubt, it has been one of the most impressive visits in Gyeongju. The peace, the calm give this spectacular site an overwhelming atmosphere.

Fairly large park, and quite beautiful. Lots of burial mounds. Very cheap to go into the park and definitely cool to behold the size of some of the tombs with your own eyes!
