6월 7일 월요일 오전 11시 30분쯤에 국제진료 센터에 갔어요. 프런트 데스크에서 일하던 두 여자가 저한테 점심시간이니까 빨리 나가라고 말했어요. 하지만, 다른 사람이 제 뒤를 따라 들어와 점심시간인데도 도움을 받을 수 있냐고 물었고, 그들은 "네”라고 말했어요. 병원의 다른 직원들은 친절했어요. 그런데 제 뒤를 따라 들어온 그 여자는 예약을 안했어요. 저는 그 두 명의 프런트 데스크 직원이 저를 외국인이라서 차별했다고 생각했어요. 이 일이 저에게는 잊지 못할 큰 상처가 될 것 같습니다. I went to the 국제진료 센터 at 11:30 am on Monday, June 7th. The 2 women who worked at the front desk (at the 국제진료 센터) told me that I had to leave because it was lunchtime and I had to return. However, someone else came in after me and asked if she could get help even though it was lunchtime, and one of the workers said yes! I was surprised because other employees (outside of the 국제진료 센터) in the hospital were not as rude as them. The person who came in after me didn't have an appointment. I will never forget how the two women who work there rejected me and how they looked at me, but accepted others (non-foreigner).

재정적으로, 시간적으로 여유가 있으시면 충남대학교 병원에서 간단한 진료 받으시고, 입원 및 수술은 서울의 좋은 대학교병원에서 수술받으시는것을 권장합니다. 코로나때 입원및 수술을 하는데 마스크도 벗고 기침하는 환자들 보고, 코로나 걸리면 충남대학교병원에서 책임을 져주는지, 코로나 치료를 해주는지, 간호사한테 말해서 병실을 옮길수 있는지 물어보니, 그건 환자가 알아서 해야죠 라고 합니다. 결론적으로 환자가 입원도중 충대병원에서 코로나 걸려도 환자가 알아서 하라는 식의 무책임한 충대병원의 취지가 보입니다. 질병관리청, 대전서구시청, 중구청 각 기관에 수준낮은 충남대학교병원의 실태와, 충남대학교의과생 레지던트 학생의 수준낮은 환자에대한 태도로 민원을 제기 한상태입니다.

Moved to Daesa-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon si (640beonji) in 1984, the hospital changed its name to Chungnam National University Hospital in 1988 and incorporated in 1995. Subject Subjects : 31 departments Internal medicine (8 departments), general surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, ortho surgery, neurosurgery, chest surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, ear, nose & throat, dermatology, urology, dentistry, psychiatry, neurology, rehabilitation medicine, radiology, radiation oncology, anesthetics, clinical pathology, pathology, emergency medicine, nuclear medicine, and family medicine. Specialized Medical Centers Daejeon Local Cancer Clinic, Daejeon Local Health Institution for the Aged, Local Cerebrovascular Disease Clinic, Daejeon-Chungcheong Local Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Local Rheumatic Disease & Degenerative Arthritis Clinic, Local Emergency Medical Center, Local Clinical Study Center, Local Medical Center for Infant, Organ Transplant Center, Daejeon Metropolitan City Dementia Center, and etc.

If you are a foreigner, I would not recommend to go there. I have been there after cutting my eyebrow while playing basketball and explained it to them, even though, they made me go through CT which costed me 700.000 ₩. As it was my first time and I didn’t know that my insurence doesn’t cover this procedure, and nobody in this whole hospital didn’t tell me abou that. Worst ?

I've been here for 2 separate reasons. The first time for immunizations/malaria pills for an extended trip to sub-saharan Africa. It was the closest place to get the shots and I was pleased. The doctor met with me and we discussed what was prudent. The nurse who gave the injections was good, and the malaria pills had no unwanted side-affects. The second time was following surgery in the USA for a shattered elbow. I knew once back in Korea I would need follow-up care, and also future surgery (as I had a huge plate and 8 screws). My surgeon 신현대 came recommended by another doctor friend. We had initial follow-ups and finally my surgery when it was possible, 6 months after the accident and initial surgery in the USA. (I did have to have a referral to be admitted the first time, but this was easily gotten in a small clinic where I live.) I was pleased with all of the work done here, and even my 3 day stay/surgery. There is limited English in the hospital and in bloodwork/radiology, but give yourself time and whatever your Korean, someone will make sure you are in the right place! My surgeons' English was excellent, and the rest acceptable. The nursing staff and support team (including translator) made sure I understood everything and was comfortable. Minor complications were taken care of, and I would highly recommend this hospital. It's 40 minutes from my home, but worth the travel.
