In fact, my job is mainly on introducing touristic spots of Korea to foreigners, and I can confidently say that Jalppajin Maemil at Ikseondong area is a very ideal place to take your foreign friends when they visit Seoul. Close to the super touristy Ikseondong district yet not overpriced, very friendly staffs, never-disappointing food quality and the two best things I like about this place is 1) the Hanok (Korean traditional house) interior and 2) different regional samplers of Korean rice wine and traditional liquor. Recommended for sure! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I believe that when you travel, you will get a real experience of the culture of the place you are visiting by trying their food. This is my third time in Seoul and I always visit this place everytime I am here. This place very is popular for their buckwheat noodles and no doubt on that! It has been featured many times in some popular food shows in the major TV networks in Korea. Recently, the US Ambassador to South Korea visited the place and enjoyed the food and place a lot. Trying their food is a must while you are in Seoul. I highly recommend their mouth-watering buckwheat noodles, which is perfect for this season! The sliced pork with citron sauce and chives is a perfect combination. Oh, don't forget their traditional wines! There are a lot more in the menu so let your tastebuds decide! This is a place I will always visit everytime I am in Seoul. Until my next visit! ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think many Korean foods are little bit hard for foreigners to eat, because of its salty & spicy taste. But for here, they don't need to worry about that. The pork is not greasy, even has super soft texture. And the dumplings and noodles are made of buckwheat, good for health, anyone must like it. All the foods in here have clean taste, Everyone can enjoy it. Even more, the host is super kind and friendly, the Korean traditional interior will give you special memory. Taste, service, mood, everything is perfect, no single reason to hesitate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice and but cozy Korean restaurant with super delicious cold noodles as their significant dish. Beside that we've had hotpot, which was also really good - from meet and mushrooms to my personal favourite - dumplings! We even got some side dish.
Had the chance to speak with restaurant owner and he is hardworking and especially simple guy who explained how they prepare the food. Nice personal touch.
Overall great food with friendly and well trained staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since it is using the traditional Korean house (Han-ok) the atmosphere is amazing, food was well presented and delicious. This place really lives up to its name & would recommend to anyone. It is a bit hard to find the place, but definitely will go again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food with great service! The hotpot was highly recommended by my Korean friend and we loved it too. Generous portions! You know the food is good when you see many locals there. ? We also ordered the Makgeolli / traditional wine sets. Interesting experience.
