★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1977년 12월 6일에 충청북도 기념물 제42호로 지정되었다. 처음에는 유정서원(有定書院)이라 하였으나 1660년에 사액되면서 신항서원으로 개칭하였다. 서원 마당에는 1685년에 세운 신항서원묘정비가 있다.
It was designated as Chungcheongbuk-do Monument No. 42 on December 6, 1977. It was originally called Jeongjeongseowon, but was renamed Shinhangseowon in 1660. In the Seowon Yard, there is a new Hangseo Seowon Myojeongbi, which was built in 1685.
