다이빙 하면 황제다이빙 이라고 합니다. 딱, 앉아서
입만 벌리고 있으면, 장비 채워주고 공기통 들어주고
끼아~편안하게 입수해서 따뜻한 열대바다에 시야 좋고 편안함, 그 자체임.
한국에서 다이빙을 하면 이것도 황제 다이빙은
다이빙인거 같은데 내가 아니고 샵이 황제임.
인건비나 한국샵의 사정이 다 그러하니,
장비 체결도 내가, 공기통도 트럭에 옮기고
내려서 배에 적재하는것도 내가, 모든것을
다 스스로 해야하는데, 재수없으면 동해바다
시야도 없고 수온도 낮아서 까딱하면 얼어뒤짐.
물론 드라이슈트가 있으면 괜찮은데 코로나만 아니면 해외가지 뭐하러 한국 바다 가겠나, 드라이 살돈으로 필리핀을 함 더가지..라는 어리석은 생각에
동해바다에서 머슴 같은 다이빙을 하면서
시야가 너무 안좋아서 버디 놓치고 나혼자 안전정지
하고 수면에서 대기 타고 있으니까 저멀리서
오는 보트가 얼마나 반가운지, 이게 진짜 바다구나,
나는 그동안 동남아의 포장된 수족관 같은 바다에서
아무생각 없이 바다를 보고 있었구나 하는 개똥철학 같은 깨달음을 얻었음. 그리고,
배멀미로 뒤져가는 저를 딱 바로 잡아주고
장비도 잘챙겨주신 친절하신 샵의 운영진들에게도
다시 한번 감사 드립니다.
