★ ★ ★ ★ ★ '동대문구청역'으로도 불린다. 서울지하철 2호선 신답역과 신설동역 사이에 있다. 2005년 10월 20일 개업했다. 역명은 동명에서 유래했으며, 용두(龍頭)는 마을을 감싸고 있는 산의 모습이 용의 머리같이 생겼다고 해서 붙여졌다. 역 주변에 정릉천근린공원, 용신동주민센터, 경동시장, 동대문구청, 신답초등학교, 국민건강보험공단 동대문지사, 용두근린공원, 대한적십자사 서울지사, 서울특별시시설관리공단, 청계천문화관 등이 있다. 서울메트로 소속으로 서울특별시 동대문구 천호대로 지하 129(용두동 47-1)에 있다.
It is also called 'Dongdaemun-gu Office Station'. It is located between Sindap Station and Sinseol-dong Station, Seoul Subway Line 2. It opened on October 20, 2005. The name comes from the same name, and the dragon head was named because the mountain surrounding the village looked like a dragon's head. Around the station are Jeongneungcheon Neighborhood Park, Yongsin-dong Community Center, Gyeongdong Market, Dongdaemun-gu Office, Sindap Elementary School, National Health Insurance Corporation Dongdaemun Branch, Yongdu Neighborhood Park, Korea Red Cross Seoul Branch, Seoul Metropolitan Facilities Management Corporation, and Cheonggyecheon Cultural Center. It belongs to Seoul Metro and is located at 129 (47-1, Yongdu-dong), Cheonho-daero, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
