★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there just when Covid had started. So the place was deserted. Spent the afternoon just lazing around and soaking up the fresh air before life turned upside down for the next two years! What a serene place this was. Beautifully landscaped and well designed pathways and access areas.

It is also a good place to watch a sunset.
If you don't like crowded place, I recommend you to visit here in the evening.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Of all the places I visited while in Tongyeong, this was my absolute favorite. I visited on May 3, 2018, a sunny, breezy day, the perfect weather for exploring the many paths to be found in the park. In fact, I was so enchanted by the trails and the glorious views that I ended up spending over four hours exploring them and actually returned to the entrance of the park so that I could check out some of the paths I hadn't taken earlier. The other reason I did so was to check out the museum, but despite the fact that I was there on a Thursday, when it was supposedly open, I found that not to be the case. On the one hand, since Lee Sun Shin is one of my heroes, I was a bit disappointed, however, on the other hand, the park itself was enough to keep me very satisfied. If I lived in Tongyeong, I could easily imagine visiting it at least weekly if not more frequently.
The only negative thing I have to say about the park is that I would never have found it if I hadn't been driven there by a local! I had planned to visit it the previous day, by going there on foot, and I seriously believe I would have given up my quest; the approach provides no indication that the park is nearby, something I verified as I was leaving it.
