★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unesco's pick! I couldn't see inner living place of some buildings because they really live there. But that point makes more attractive to me. I could feel real life there and they preserve the village. I love it :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice stroll, max spending time 2 and a half hours, took a taxi from downtown bus terminal as the bus 203 was too long a wait, taxi cost 25000 krw but I haggled to 20000 krw

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful tranquil village, but not very convenient to get into - bus schedules aren't very consistent, we could choose either 40mins (which was a bit rushed) or 2.5h (which would be too much) until next bus back to Gyeongju.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice traditional village. I expected a place full of tourist, but we could walk around almost alone. I totally recommend it. Do not expect many places to eat or to buy souvenirs, there are just a couple of them plus some additional around the ticket office.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I was first told of this place. I thought. Wow that’s interesting. But once I arrived. I started getting this feeling that it may not be all that I thought it was going to be.
The entrance fee was reasonable enough. After all they need to maintain and keep this place up. Beautiful murals on the wall depicting what life may have been like. It was interesting. But then that’s where things ended for me.
They have beautiful hanoak houses here. And if you ignore the modern finishes like paved roads or light posts. It’s easy to imagine that your in the past. But sadly. As it is still residential areas. And people actually do live here. It’s understandable that most areas are off limits.
You can see from outside. And maybe get into the first entrance but beyond that is restricted. Now considering that. It was pretty plain. And the city of gyeongju had better examples and much more open places to see.
Is it worth the price they charge? Undecided. But would I go back or recommend it? No.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time here today. Its traditional Korean folk(or upper class) village registered in Unesco World Heritage but not much impressed. I am staying one of the house(민박) for over night for ₩60,000. House has not much to give. Also went to Odong restaurant for dinner. How was it? No more than 3 stars for place to visit/over night/restaurant. Only Tour guide(no charge) was very nice. Thanks for reading.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a good place for a family trip. Kinda not that accessible for commuting since there is only 2 buses that really goes inside the village, if you want to drop off into a highway you need to walk for more than a kilometer. But transferring to a bus is possible. You can either take a bus from Pohang Bus Terminal or Gyeongju Express Bus Terminal (farther). As for the village, it is like a historical museum and village that offers tours, they have 20 minutes 30 minutes and an hour tour inside the village. There's also a convenience/cofee/souvenir store inside which is good.
