그런데 정정해야할 부분이 있다.
진주성이 2차 전투 이후 함락되고 거기서 벌어진 승전파티에 최경회의 "후실'이었던 주논개가 기생으로 참여하여 외장 게야무라로고스케를 끌어안고 투신한 사건이다.
앞선 전투에서 남편이던 최경회가 사망하였고 이후 후실이던 주논개의 복수극이 펼쳐진다. 기생이라는 기록이 없는 것은 아니나 단정적으로 신분을 기생으로 한정하는 것에는 찬성하기 힘들다. 굳어버린 이름 의기사, 제고해볼 순 없을까?
그리고 또 혹시 모르지, 논개가 실존인물이 아니라는 설도..
