★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 커피맛은 좋으나 앉으라고 있는 지하에 가보니 지하실 냄새에 앉아서 커피를 마실 수가 없음 좌석 준비가 너무 미흡함
Coffee tastes good, but when I go to the basement where they are asked to sit, I can't sit and drink coffee because of the smell of the basement. Seat preparation is too poor.

1층 카페 공간에서 보이는 이 뷰는 꼭 제주 어디쯤 같죠.
삼청점도 기대되어 찾아가보려 합니다.
It is a great place for exhibition and space.
This view from the cafe space on the first floor is just like anywhere in Jeju.
I am also looking forward to visiting the Samcheong branch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Opened in October 2020, TYPE combines a contemporary art gallery, book shop and bakery cafe into a modern six storey building in the central Shin-dang district of Seoul.

TYPE holds monthly public and private exhibitions featuring local artists; more information on booking and exhibition content can be found on their Instagram page.
There is also art for sale on the fourth floor with a collection at the time that featured rare pieces from Yun Hyeung-keun (윤형근 / 1928-2007)'s "Burnt Umber" series. Yun was a pre-eminent member of the "Korean Monochrome Movement" (단색화 - dansaekwha); a minimalist style of art form that emerged in the 1970s.
They serve four "TYPE"'s of blended coffee beans all available for filter at a very competitive price of $ 4.40. The best area to enjoy them is the open plan basement gallery with walls lined with photograph series and stone staircase seating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Modern contemporary cafe with a minimalistic interior and open concept - that's TYPE. Great coffee but very uncomfortable seats. Probably best to finish up under 15 and go. Instagram-worthy for sure, just I'd prefer to take my coffee and enjoy a short chit chat.
