About Toc Toc

‘Toc Toc’ is a French expression of ‘knock knock’; demonstrating chef’s determination to open up your taste through fine cuisine. It suggests Masstige dining concept to public where anyone can satisfy one’s desire at more reasonable price and cozy place.

 

Toc Toc was awarded “One to Watch Award” at the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Award, so-called Chef’s Oscars in 2017. It continued to 2018 and 2019; Chef Kim was listed as Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants both years. Also Toc Toc is listed in the Michelin Guide Seoul.

 

Chef KIM Dae Chun has been stubborn on using “the best ingredient as much as possible” since he opened Toc Toc for the first time in Apgujeong Rodeo. Toc Toc’s cuisine is based on the faith that good taste comes from good ingredients, which everyone can experience in our restaurant.

Phenomenal experience and food. We went at 8pm on a Wednesday and it was pretty empty. We opted for a la carte and had the 24 hour octopus, truffle pasta, 28-vegetable salad, scallops, and a steak. Everything was prepared amazingly. The kelp butter and bread was very popular with my wife and I. Beyond the great food the staff was super friendly and helpful, making two amazing wine recommendations that we both loved. Definitely worth the visit.

Michelin fork recommended; I do hope this local restaurant makes the star list one day... several areas to work on from Ingredient preparation to service. The 41 seasonal veggie dish shows selection of ingredients; the truffle pasta show al dente preparation skills... the ingredients need to be more substantial (for the price, more of the finer ingredients); for the preparation more accurate (the signature cod fish could use more character than butter); and for the plating, more artistic.

We had lunch course meal that has a coffee and a piece of chocolate at the end and 80000 per person. I asked, "May I have some milk for this black coffee? The server said, It costs 3000won for the milk, would it be okay? I said no thanks. Just funny arrogant place

Excellent! The steak was one of the best I've ever had, so soft and juicy. And service was incredibly attentive. They even offered to find us a taxi home, which is of great help when you don't speak the language.

Great evening out. Toc Toc lives up to its 1 star for sure. Service was fantastic, we couldnt of been more pleased. The manager even recommended a nice hidden speak easy roughly 5 minute walk away, so we could walk off the dinner and chill.

Impeccable service, flavorful food from start to finish - usually at French restaurants I don't feel so full after having the last course but TocToc's portions are quite generous that my stomach was satisfied. The 130,000 KRW course menu was worth every penny!

Surprised my friend for her birthday dinner at this restaurant. Great service, friendly staffs and enjoyed every bite of our dishes. Oh, taco was absolutely amazing that I had to order on-the-side for take-out :) One more thing, their bread was the most delicious restaurant bread I ever had in the city?
