★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 우리나라의 항로표지와 그 중에서도 등대에 대해 심도있게 전시되어있다. 현재는 코로나와 확장공사로 인해 유물관만 개방하고 있다.
 In-depth exhibitions of Korea's route signs and lighthouses in particular are displayed. Currently, only the relic hall is open due to corona and expansion work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 호미곶을 대표하는 랜드마크였는데 새천년기념관과 상생의 손에 밀렸지만 여전히 볼만하다.
1985년 2월 7일에 처음 문을 열었다. 1982년 8월 4일 우리나라 최대의 유인등대인 호미곶등대(높이 26.4m)가 지방기념물 제39호로 지정되자, 당시 영일군에서 건물을 짓고 포항지방해운항만청에서 자료수집을 하여 호미곶등대박물관으로 개관하였다. 1995년 운영권이 영일군에서 포항지방해운항만청으로 넘어가면서 이듬해 이름이 장기곶등대박물관으로 변경되었다. 2000년 확장사업을 마무리하여 등대원 생활관, 운항 체험실, 등대 유물관, 등대 과학관, 해양수산관, 수상전시관, 야외전시관, 테마 공원 등 다양한 볼거리를 갖춘 박물관으로 거듭났다. 2002년에는 이름을 국립등대박물관으로 바꾸었다.
한국 등대의 발달사와 각종 해양 수산자료를 한눈에 볼 수 있는 국내 유일의 이곳에는 등대 관련자료 및 소장품 3천여 점이 전시되어 있어서 호미곶을 찾는 이들은 다양한 체험학습이 가능하다. 인근에 호미곶해맞이광장, 구룡포해수욕장 등이 있어 관광객들이 자주 찾는다.
It was a landmark representing Homigot, and although it was defeated by the Millennium Memorial Hall and the hand of coexistence, it is still worth seeing.
It first opened on February 7, 1985. On August 4, 1982, when Homigot Lighthouse (26.4m in height), the largest manned lighthouse in Korea, was designated as Local Monument No. In 1995, the operating rights were transferred from Yeongil-gun to the Pohang Regional Maritime and Port Administration, and the following year, the name was changed to Janggigot Lighthouse Museum. After completing the expansion project in 2000, it was reborn as a museum with various attractions such as the Lighthouse Dormitory, Flight Experience Room, Lighthouse Relics Hall, Lighthouse Science Hall, Ocean and Fisheries Hall, Water Exhibition Hall, Outdoor Exhibition Hall, and Theme Park. In 2002, the name was changed to the National Lighthouse Museum.
It is the only place in Korea where you can see the history of the development of Korean lighthouses and various marine and fishery materials at a glance. About 3,000 lighthouse-related materials and collections are on display, so visitors to Homigot can experience a variety of experiences. Homigot Sunrise Plaza and Guryongpo Beach are nearby, so tourists often visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ love the drive along to visit this place, such refreshing, free to enter, worth the visit , great to photography , a unique place ,If you visit pohang, this place is a must visit as there are nice scenaries around and there is a famuos arm in sea mounted by posco steel industries and the sunset at this place is good. And the way to reach this place from pohang very scenic.

The place is basically part of this tourist spot and gives tourist learnings through its museum. My friends and I had a great time taking photos of the area and will surely go back again.
