★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This museum is a must visit! An interactive, efficient and easy to navigate museum with many mini activities and loads of sound effects you can experience! I am so glad I made time to visit, after visiting the Palace. The guided audio is free but they keep your passport till you return the device back.

I formation desk says it takes about an hour to go through and it is free all day every day. Free small lockers available inside by the information desk. Probably interesting if you are really into Korean culture....

Such a beautiful cross section of Korean history with the amazing pagoda just nearby. There’s also a fantastic bookshop here so you can take part of the culture and history home with you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely free museum showcasing Korea's history and beautiful culture. Simply laid out in a few sections by timezone and category with plenty of English markings and descriptors makes for a great visit for international visitors.
Absolutely loved the diorama and recreations of traditional homes for commoners as well as lavish setups for kings and queens. Detailed aspects of clothing from hair braids/pins/combs to scarves to dresses. It contained everything you could ever want to know about how life was like in Korea for people hundreds of years ago. The details about how royalty was preserved in the culture and worshiped was also great information.
Everything was presented in an easy to digest fashion for children and adults alike and you'll be fascinated by this museum at any age. Since it's almost within the palace, check this place out as you visit the attractions nearby including the flagship palace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was there in Spring 2019, The outside was very cold, but inside warm because there had heater system inside. As same others places in South Korea, that place was clean, becautiful and inside had many tradition culture things displayed. I liked there.
