★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The support at PHY Chips is awful. I have one of their expensive RFID development kits and the software provided is ONLY for windows. Included with the kit is a usb drive that contains a visual studio solution , windows dll files and drivers. There is no support for Java or universal C++ . I have read online that it is possible to communicate via UART, I2C and SPI. However a login to the support portal is needed to download the source to the firmware that needs to be edited to enable these communication methods before compiling and upload the firmware to the module. so unless your product will use USB interface and run Windows OS. You will not be able to use the PHY Chips module with out the hassle of dealing with their inept support
I have contacted their support staff multiple times and have still not been provided a login to their support portal to allow me to download firmware, source or any other technical docs that would assist in my product development.
I would not recommend PHY chips RFID to anyone. If i could give 0 stars I would.
