(공사중 임시 미사 장소 신봉동 378-1) 11월 현재 부지 전체가 공사판입니다. 여러 과정을 거쳐 선정된 시공사는 삼양건설입니다. 2019년 1분기말 준공 예정입니다. 예전에 입구 성모님께 기도 봉헌 드리고 가기 좋은 곳이었고 촛불 올릴 수 있게 유럽스타일이었는데, 이젠 못하죠, 입구 포함 전체 공사중입니다. 싱본동 성단은 수원교구이며 신본동 전체를 담당합니다. 먹자골목이 멀지 않아 미사 후 모임이 좋습니다. In the past, it was a good place to give a prayer and dedication to the Holy Mother at the entrance, and it was a European style for candlelight. The cluster in Sinbon-dong is the Parish of Suwon and is in charge of the entire Shinbon-dong. The meeting after the mass is good because the alley is not far away.

J	Jy Moon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 용인 수지구 신봉동에 있는 신봉동 성당.. 사제이자 프랑스에서 '빛의 화가'로 활동 중이신...김인중 신부님의 스테인드 글라스 작품이 돋보이는 성당이다. 신부님은 프랑스 도미니크 수도회 소속이고...화가, 스테인드 글라스, 도자 분야에서 권위를 갖고 있는 분이다. 우리나라의 성당이 외관은 어정쩡한 고딕양식이고 내부는 대체로 어둡고 권위적인 느낌을 주는 게 일반적인데... 이곳 신봉동 성당은 아주 모던하고 밝게 설계된 것이 인상적이다. 프랑스 건축가 베르나르 게일러가 건축을 담당했는 데.... 김인중 신부와 콜라보가 잘 된거 같다. 아마도 1866년 병인박해 때 29세 젊은 나이에 순교한 프랑스 신부 오메트르(1837-1866)가 이곳 신봉동에서 선교와 신앙생활을 했다고 한다. 그래서 이곳 성당의 주보성인은 오메트르 신부이시다. 성당 전체가 개방적 형태이고 현대적이라 그런지.... 마치 카페에 들어온 느낌을 준다.....외부 공간도 아기자기 하고 테라스와 옥외 테이블도 갖춰있고....커피와 음료 빵을 파는 카페도 있어서.... 신자가 아니더라도 방문해서 차도 마시고 힐링할 수 있는 공간이다. 스테인드 글라스 그림도 현대 추상화를 보는 느낌이라서 성경 내용을 설명하는 일반적인 스테인드 글라스는 아니다. 하지만, 실내에 있으면 제단위의 십자가 예수상을 배경으로 스테인드 글라스로 통해 들어오는 빛은 숙연함을 갖추게 한다. 노출콘크리트와 원형형태로 건축된 예배당도 주변과 잘 매칭이 되어 보인다.
