★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 서울특별시 마포구 숭문길 99번지에 위치한 자율형사립고이다. 경성야학교가 전신으로 1930년대까지는 매년 10명 안팎의 졸업생을 배출했다. 1910년부터 교명을 꾸준히 변경하다 1948년에 중학교와 분리되고 1951년에 와서야 현재의 숭문고등학교로 개편되었다. 재단은 학교법인 동방문화학원으로 산하에 숭문중학교와 숭문고등학교가 있다.
2014년부터 2017년까지 강북 지역 고등학교 중 인서울 대학 진학률 1위를 유지 중이다.
It is an autonomous private high school located at 99, Sungmunmun-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Kyungsung Night School, which was predecessor, produced about 10 graduates every year until the 1930s. Its name changed steadily from 1910. It was separated from middle school in 1948, and it was not reorganized into the present Sungmun High School until 1951. The foundation is the Dongbang Institute of Chemistry, which includes Sungmun Middle School and Sungmun High School.
From 2014 to 2017, it maintains the No. 1 admission rate for Seoul National University, which is a middle school in Gangbuk region.
