★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do NOT take your shoes to Boston Shoes for repairs!
Was quoted 40 to 50 dollars, but he didn't specify he meant USD and not KRW. When he swiped the credit card, he entered whatever he felt the exchange rate was in KRW and we ended up being charged well over 50USD for a TERRIBLE job for a simple re-sole on a pair of men's boots. The sole was replaced with some low quality, spongy soft material, there are gaps where the sole isn't adhered properly, and there is glue visible along the seams. Worst of all, he damaged the leather with a nasty scrape. The boots are not wearable. The work seemed VERY rushed, despite the fact that he told us to come back a week after we left the boots with him. The store interior is messy and chaotic, which should have been a red flag on how disorganised he is.
We didn't bother arguing as there was no way he would have given us a refund on the deposit. Please, do not ruin your shoes by bringing them here. There are cheaper cobblers near the 4/9 market who will not rip you off. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
