1941년 5월 20일 설립인가되었으며,
1944년 9월 20일 개교하였다.
1963년 1월 1일 서울특별시 편입에 따라 구서국민학교로 개칭하였고, 1969년 3월 1일 서울천호국민학교로 개칭하였다.
1969년 3월 8일 서울성내국민학교로 15학급을 분리하였고,
1974년 6월 1일 서울길동국민학교로 17학급을 분리하였으며,
1977년 3월 1일 서울강동국민학교로 1,890명의 학생을 분리하였다.
1981년 3월 1일 서울명일국민학교로 1,720명을 분리하였으며,
1983년 서울천동국민학교로 762명을 분리하였고,
1985년 9월 1일 958명의 학생을 서울천일국민학교로 분리하였다.
1996년 3월 1일 서울천호초등학교로 교명을 변경하였다.
2000년 12월 31일 교육실적우수학교 서울시교육감 표창을 수상하였고, 2004년 12월 30일 과학교육 우수학교 교육감 표창을 수상하였다.
교훈은 ‘바르고(德) 굳세며(體) 슬기롭게(知)’이며,
교목은 은행나무, 교화는 개나리이다.
6학년 57학급, 특수학급 2학급으로 편성되어 있다.
특기적성교육으로는 동화바둑, 과학놀이와과학마술, 댄스스포츠, 배드민턴, 수채화뎃생 등을 실시하고 있다.
청소년 단체로는 컵스카우트와 우주소년단이 활동하고 있다.

It is a public elementary school in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
It was approved for establishment on May 20, 1941,
It opened on September 20, 1944.
On January 1, 1963, it was renamed to the former Seokookmin School due to the transfer to the Seoul Metropolitan City, and on March 1, 1969, it was renamed as Seoul Cheonho National School.
On March 8, 1969, 15 classes were separated into the Seoul Provincial National School.
On June 1, 1974, 17 classes were separated into Seoul Gil-dong National School.
On March 1, 1977, 1,890 students were separated to Seoul Gangdong National School.
On March 1, 1981, 1,720 students were separated into Seoul Myung-Il National School.
In 1983, 762 students were separated into the Seoul Cheondong National School.
On September 1, 1985, 958 students were separated into the Seoul Cheonil National School.
On March 1, 1996, the school name was changed to Seoul Cheonho Elementary School.
On December 31, 2000, he was awarded a commendation from the Seoul Superintendent of Education, and on December 30, 2004, he was awarded a commendation from the superintendent of superintendent of science education.
The lesson is “right (德) firm (体) wise (知)”,
The arboretum is ginkgo, and the edification is forsythia.
It is organized into 57 classes for the 6th grade and 2 classes for the special class.
