This is Seokjongsa, the last song of Sakyamuni Buddha.
I visited during a pilgrimage to the temple I attended.
It is said that Monk Hyeguk, who is in the courtroom of Seokjongsa, vowed to become a Buddha at the throne of Ilta in Donggokdang, and offered three of his right fingers to the Buddha as a fuel economy.

It is a temple with a thousand-year history.
It was recently rebuilt after it completely disappeared.
In particular, the dancheong is gorgeous and beautiful.

The view in front of Daeungjeon is good.
The surroundings are quiet and nice.
Due to its location, it is often windy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A group of us, over 30 cyclists on a tour of the bike paths around Seoul , stopped here overnight. The visit was pre-arranged by the organisers.
We arrived late but were in time for dinner at the refractory.
Temple food is vegetarian but it was delicious. We were told to take as much as we wanted but to ensure that nothing went to waste,
As a special treat we were led through a yoga session to help us stretch out the muscles affected by our long ride during the day. The monk of led it was super flexible and the poses helped eased our aches and pains.
We also learnt a bit about the sounding of drums and bells as part of the temple's routine and the significance.
We slept on heated wooder floors in a communal dorms and separate bathrooms (the ladies had shared rooms with attached bathrooms). Breakfast was delicious. And we were each given a box gift of noodles, seaweed and sesame snacks, and gluoutinous rice syrup and a set of lacqured cutlery.
The monks and manager of the temple stay program were super hospitable and made sure we were looked after.
Temple stays are becoming very popular in Korea and bookings are essential.
