★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 서울에 있는 그 어떤 카페와 비교해도 분위기, 커피맛 모두 손색이 없습니다. 직접 구우시는 듯한 브라우니도 너무너무 맛있었어요.
Compared to any other cafe in Seoul, the atmosphere and taste of coffee are comparable. The brownies that seemed to be grilled themselves were also very delicious.

삼문당 블렌드와 통영 블렌드 모두 추천합니다.
Hand dripping as well as blended coffee were excellent, so I drank one cup at the store and took another cup out. I also bought the beans.
We recommend both Sammundang Blend and Tongyeong Blend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cafes like Sammundang in the rural harbour town of Tongyeong (통영) are a constant reminder that speciality coffee is not just restricted to the larger cities Seoul or Busan. From Pyeongtaek (Hocus Pocus Roasters), Daejon (Told A Story) to Gwangju (304 Coffee Roasters) and beyond it’s now possible to enjoy small batch roasted coffee almost anywhere in South Korea.
Seven years after establishing the first “local” small batch roastery in the region, Coffee Roasters Sooda, the team recently consolidated their business into a two storey venue under the name Sammundang Coffee Company. Complete with roasting lab, rooftop and espresso bar, the retro themed workshop-like space has quickly become a massive hit with visitors to the region, particularly from nearby Busan. With the continued ban on overseas travel due to Covid-19, Sammundang has been successful in putting Tongyeong on the tourist map too with regular jazz and indie concerts held in the second floor main cafe area.
Roasting in-house on the ground floor of the building on a bright red Diedrich IR-5 (5kg), Sammundang offer an ever changing variety of seasonal coffee available for espresso and Kalita Wave hand-drip.
