I left the city with my friends, but the staff member Olyoung glared at me and spoke openly, so I laughed and didn’t say hello.

I go because of the very kind and pretty staff! It always helps a lot to make a good choice. Some rude guests seem to be a big problem

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection of items and reasonable prices; I found an extra soft tooth brush I needed along with a couple of other items however, for the first time as an American in S Korea I was treated with unbelievable disrespect. Sunday evening @ AK Plaza, the young girl (she looked very young) behind the counter was very pleasant to everyone (all of whom looked Korean, certainly Asian) in line ahead of me placing all their purchases in bags however, when it was my turn the following happened; she said something in Korean and I just smiled and said hello (I neither speak or understand Korean yet), she frowned. I placed my items on the counter. She looked at them then at me before she picked them up to scan them. I saw the price on the register and when I handed her my ‘won’ she hesitated at first before she took my money. She tried to put the change on the counter; when I stuck my hand out she almost pulled her hand away. She left my items on the counter, stepped back, crossed her arms, and just looked at me. I just smiled, said thank you in Korean (about the only phrase in know). I picked up my items an place them in my bag pack. I have never shopped in one of these stores before. I hope it’s this particular person and not the policy of the store to be rude to non-Koreans.
