★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 조선 후기 학자인 외암 이간(167~1727)선생이 출생한 가옥이다. 18세기 말 외암의 후손인 건재 이욱렬 공이 현재의 모습으로 건립하였다고 한다. 고택의 구성은 문간채, 사랑채, 안채를 주축으로 구성되어 있고, 오른편에는 광채와 가묘, 왼편에는 곳간채가 있다. 기본적으로 목재건물이기때문에 화재에 취약한데 이를 미연에 방지코자 계곡에서 흐르는 명당수를 끌어들여 정원수와 방화수로 이용하는 지혜가 깃들여져 있는 고택이다. 그리고 고택 뒤쪽에 있는 설화산을 배경으로 산세를 따라 서북향으로 건물을 배치했다. 지금은 그 후손들이 살고 있는 것으로 보이며, 건물 내부를 자유롭게 드나들 수는 없다. 그러나 담을 사이에 두고라도 역사적으로 의미 있는 곳이니 한 번 가보기를 추천한다.
This house was born by a late Joseon scholar, Oeam Igan (167 ~ 1727). In the late 18th century, Gongjae Lee Uk-ryul, a descendant of Oeam, was said to have been erected as it is today. The structure of the old house consists of Munganchae, Sarangchae, and Anchae, and Gwangchae and Gamyo on the right and Gangganchae on the left. Since it is basically a wooden building, it is vulnerable to fire, but it is a house with wisdom that attracts Myeongdangsu flowing from the valley to prevent it. In addition, the building was placed in the northwest direction along the hillside, with the backdrop of Sulwhasan behind the old house. Now, the descendants appear to be living, and they cannot enter or exit the building freely. However, it is a historically meaningful place even with a wall in between.
