★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 자주 지나다니는 동네 골목에 있는 커피가게인데 별 생각없이 매번 지나치다가 최근에 스벅 한강진역R점에서 맛봤던 토피넛라떼를 판다고 주문을 받고 커피를 내어주는 창문에 붙어있길래 추워지기도 하고 맛은 스벅의 것과 어떻게 다를지도 궁금해 들러봄.
지나다닐때 보면 아마도 사장님이신것 같은 남자분이 볶은 커피원두를 높이 들고 아랫쪽으로 떨어뜨리면서 불순물을 제거하는 걸 가끔씩 본 적이 있어서 엉터리는 아닌 그래도 뭔가 열정이 있는 가게인가 생각도 들었었음.
가게 내부엔 앉을 자리도 몇개 있지만 그냥 테이크아웃으로 토피넛라떼를 주문함.
또 다시 빙문할지는 커피맛이 얼마나 좋을지에 달려있겠지만 쿠폰을 드릴까요?란 여자점원분의 질문에 일단 네라고 답함.
기다리면서 가성비와 맛이 좋았던 바나프레소 을지병원사거리점에서의 스페셜티 아메리카노와 같은 스벅 벤티사이즈에 담겨나올까 기대를 하고 있었는데 여자점원분이 건네준 토피넛라떼는 그냥 스벅 톨사이즈정도여서 속으로 애걔함.
겉으론 실망감을 드러내지 않고 뚜껑을 열어 보니 스벅의 토피넛라떼처럼 라떼의 밀크폼 위에 토피나 넛 같은게 뿌려져 있어서 보이거나 하진 않음.
길을 걸으며 맛을 보니 라떼면서 토피가 들어가 달달해서 원두의 맛을 잘 알 순 없었지만 작은 넛 알갱이가 씹히고 토피의 맛이 확실히 느껴짐.
전체적으로 바나프레소에서 기대치가 높아져 좀 더 큰 사이즈와 맛도 좋은 골목 안의 작은 커피가겐가 해서 들러봤는데 사이즈가 톨사이즈로 아담하고 맛은 괜찮았지만 그렇다고 이문동커피집같이 맛도 뛰어나고 더 전문적이면서 창조적인 메뉴구성이나 분위기가 좋거나 한건 아닌 그냥 조금 더 전문적인 느낌의 동네커피가게여서 테이크아웃으로 마실거라면 차라리 집에서 더 가깝고 맛도 괜찮았던 해머스미스커피에 들르겠다고 생각됐던 방문이었음.
