안내데스크에 사람이 있으나 공사중이라는 안내는 안 하고 멀뚱멀뚱 지켜만 봅니다
왜 계시는지..?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 사적 제127호. 고려 원종(元宗) 때 배중손(裵仲孫)이 진도에 와서 1270∼1273년에 걸쳐 몽골에 항쟁할 때 근거지로 삼았다.
그러나 성은 이미 삼국시대부터 있었다고 여겨지며,
현재 남아 있는 성은 남도포(南桃浦)에 만호부(萬戶府)가
처음 생긴 것이 조선 세종 20년 정월이므로, 1438년 이후에
축성하였다고 생각된다.
기록에 따르면, 1214년부터 1259년에 걸쳐 왜구가 연해 지방을
침범하여, 1350년(충정왕 2)에는 진도의 관아를 내륙지방으로
옮기고 백성을 옮겨 살게 하였다.
이 교치생활(僑置生活)은 조선시대에도 계속되어 오다가
세종 때에 이르러 진도로 돌아갈 수 있었다고 한다.
이러한 기록은 축성 시기가 1438년 이후임을 더욱 뒷받침한다.
특히 남도포 석성(石城)은 동쪽에 있는 금갑보(金甲堡)와
더불어 오른쪽으로 가는 바닷길의 요지이며, 동시에 남해안에서
서해안으로 올라오는 목줄기에 해당되는 요새지이다.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 좋습니다. 삼별초가 몽골에 대항해서 항쟁하던 곳이랍니다. 석성을 복원하는 중이고, 성내에 우물 등도 복원, 발굴하는 중인가봐요. 좀 어수선하지만 독특한 건물이 3채 있습니다. 단운교와 쌍운교라는 아치교도 있습니다.
어찌 저리 만들었는지 신기하네요

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 진도남성 성곽 공사가 한창 진행 중 있었습니다.
새로이 성곽을 쌓는 것은 역사유적으로써 감흥이 없었고요.
나무 한 그루 많이 세월을 조금 느끼게 할 뿐이었습니다.
Jindo Namseong Fortress construction was in full swing.
Building a new fortress was not impressive as a historical relic.
A lot of trees just made me feel a little bit old.
