It is a quiet temple that is good for feeling the atmosphere of winter. Nearby, there are plenty of things to see, such as Gaesim Haemi-eupseong Yonghyeon Natural Recreation Forest. The forest trail of Palbongsan Mountain is especially worthwhile. Healing is ok. Only experienced people know the taste.

A small temple with beautiful double cherry blossoms in spring with Myeongjong Taesil of Joseon. This spring, I tried twice to see the cherry blossoms, but I gave up because there were a lot of cars, so I went there last August 1st I went to Gaesim to see the blue cherry blossoms.

I went early in the morning and no one was there and it was nice and quiet haha Although the double cherry blossoms didn't bloom, so the flower tunnel failed haha I liked Munsusa better than the open screening

It is the branch of Sudeoksa Temple, the headquarters of the 7th parish of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It is not known who built it, and it appears to have been built during the Goryeo Dynasty, judging from the arrangement of the garam and the relics passed down through it. It is said that thieves burned all the buildings except Geungnakbojeon during the Joseon Dynasty, but no detailed history is given. Sansingak was built in 1994, and an old yosa was built in front of the Sansingak to reach the present day. Existing buildings include Geuknakbojeon Hall, Simgeomdang Hall, Sudodang Hall, and Chunjeong High School. Among them, Geuknakbojeon was built at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and rebuilt after the Imjin War, and was designated as Tangible Cultural Property No. 13 in Chungcheongnam-do. During an investigation by the Cultural Heritage Administration in 1973, many relics were excavated from the costume of the gilt-bronze Amitabha Buddha, including the origin text, single-piece water, rice, and barley. According to the source text found here, this Geungnakbojeon was built in 1346 (the 2nd year of King Chungmok of Goryeo) and was rebuilt during the Imjin War. It is noteworthy that the names of about 300 originators are written on it. The accompanying books, such as the Guguinwanggyeong (舊譯仁王經) and the Uicheon Sokjanggyeonggi (刊記), are valuable materials for studying the history of Korean literature and the development of printing. Inside Geuknakbojeon Hall, a gilt-bronze three seated Buddha statue, a statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and a statue of Sipryuk Nahan are enshrined, and there are four Bodhisattva statues between the statues of Nahan. Among the Buddhist paintings, there are three-year-old flames painted by Geumho in 1892 (29th year of King Gojong), Hyeonwang-taenghwa painted by Monghwa in 1919, and Jijang-taenghwa and Shinjungtaenghwa produced in 1998. Built in 1774 (the 50th year of King Yeongjo), the Jiwangsiwangdo is currently on display at the Sudeoksa Seongbo Museum. In addition to Geuknakbojeon, there is a signboard made in 1892 and the 〈Munsusa Bad Gauge〉 written in 1912 hanging on it. (Doosan Encyclopedia)

2021.4.18 The street is very narrow. And it is only one way. If you come early, you can park ur car free at the parking lot, but it was impossible for me, as I arrived here around 1pm. There is temporary parking lot which cost you 2000 won. I parked here and walked a bit. Actually the temple is not worth to visit.at all without the flowers. As for the hot pink double cherry blossoms tunnel, well.. it ia very very pretty.
