As a former teacher of this school I understand that I must use my own discretion while writing this review. However, I would like to inform future teachers or students who wish to attend this academy of what lies ahead. While I was only a teacher at this school for one year, it did not take me more than one day to learn exactly what the biggest issue with this business is: its proprietor. Though the children who have come to this academy are typically a joy to teach, the headmaster of this academy is completely unprofessional, rude, and very thoughtless toward his employees. He does not consistently inform teachers of the proper materials they will need for their classes; does not explain or elaborate on his expectations or goals of his academy; does not clarify or choose to understand an employee should a problem surface on their behalf, e.g., a personal issue regarding affairs concerning that of the employee and not the proprietor; does not hold highly the cultures of others of whom are not Korean; does not reliably uphold meeting punctuality, i.e., he is almost always tardy on meetings and will hold them longer as consequence; is extremely rude when challenged or prompted with confrontation. Because of the business owner my time spent at the academy was incredibly rough and I had felt that any issues I had were a direct result of the headmaster and his poor communication skills. I DO NOT recommend taking the job he offers as it is likely you will not receive what he promises. He often defies his contract and “rewrites” his own new rules, though they do not appear in the actual contract. He is exceptionally disorganized and miscommunications that can easily be avoided happen frequently. In short, this academy is a train wreck and is not worth your time.
